Aggies Go 2-0 in Double Header

College Station, TX – On a cold Saturday afternoon the Texas A&M Lacrosse team completed a double header against the TCU Horned Frogs and the St Edwards Hilltoppers. The Aggies went 2-0 on the weekend defeating TCU 15-8 and St Edwards 13-8 to remain undefeated on the season.

The Aggies had 3 scorers notching 4 goals – Auggie Buerkle (#16, Jr A Bowie) 4g 3a, Gavin Planeta (#2 So M The Woodlands) 4g 2a and AJ Hepting (#24 Jr A Kingwood) 4g 3a. Mikey Jaillet (#45 So A Round Rock) 1g 1a, Clayton Nugent (#10 Fr M Houston Christian) 1a, and Connor Morrison (#29 Fr SSDM Plano East) 1g rounded out the scoring for Texas A&M. Goalie Marco Robertson (#6 Jr G Dallas Jesuit) 8 saves .500.

The Ags went on a 7-2 run in the second and never looked back. The Aggie defense continued its strong play led by captain TJ Wojtowecz (#12 Jr D Round Rock), Cody Smith (#22 Jr D McNeil), Justin Naugher (#1 Jr D Coppell), Jake Thomas (#31 So D Cinco Ranch) and Reed Elliott (#7 Fr D Lake Travis). Aggie face-off men, Matt Hanna (#17 Jr FO Seven Lakes) 5-3 and Henry England (#9 Jr FO Dripping Springs) 4-1 led A&M in face-offs

The Ags went on a 3-0 run in the third to take the lead and never looked back.
